Can the chambers be stacked to create a layered system?

Yes, chambers can be double or triple stacked.  For more information, please refer to our double/tripled layered system page.

Do I need a pre-treatment device?

No, the use our SedimenTrapâ"˘ along with the StormChamberâ"˘ system, a pre-treatment device is not necessary.  SedimenTrapâ"˘ are used along with the StormChamberâ"˘ system to help with sediment management.  For more information, please refer to our SedimenTrapâ"˘ page.

How do I clean/maintain a StormChamberâ"˘ system?

Cleaning/Maintenance of a StormChamberâ"˘ system is a simple process.  StormChambersâ"˘ are designed with a defined top portal area at the "down-flow" end of the chamber that can be cut out to accept up to a 10" diameter riser pipe.  The 10" riser can be used as an observation well and for access of a vacuum truck tube that can be used to remove sediment from the SedimenTrapâ"˘.

How often do you need to clean/maintain the StormChamberâ"˘ system?

Inspection through the risers should be done quarterly and after each large storm event.  Sediment should be removed when deposits approach within six inches of the rim of the SedimenTrapâ"˘.
